Planning Potential provide Kier Property with comprehensive planning advice on a broad range of projects. Kier’s site at Maylands Avenue has been subject to significant pre-application discussions with the Local Planning Authority, led by Planning Potential, in order to bring forward a comprehensive mixed use landmark development on this particularly constrained site. The redevelopment proposals have been brought forward as a phased scheme comprising hotel and office buildings of particularly high quality design.

We produced a thorough planning statement and sustainability report as well as coordinating a range of other supporting application documents. Planning Potential was able to work efficiently in order to meet a stringent deadline to optimise development opportunities in challenging market conditions.      

Planning Potential have subsequently been able to address a number of issues raised during the application process, specifically in relation to hotel need, conditions and s.106 contributions. The application has been presented successfully by Planning Potential to Councillors at Committee. Throughout the duration of the project we have also actively monitored the emerging Local Development Framework and submitted representations when necessary in order to promote the redevelopment of the site.
