Planning Related EIA Work

PLANNING-RELATED-EIA---Quebec -Way -01aEnvironmental Assessment is a complex process running alongside planning. Planning Potential can undertake the full co-ordination of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) including the instruction and co-ordination of an EIA team. Our planners have experience of co-ordinating the Assessments, raising issues of:

  • Re-use of extensive Listed Buildings
  • Development in sensitive heritage settings
  • Development of land affected by contamination, noise and air pollution
  • Major urban regeneration impacts

We can liaise with Local Planning Authorities at all stages of the process and provide a service for the screening and scoping of Environmental Statements including the presentation of the main documents and non-technical summaries. We are familiar with the detailed legislation in this area, and will undertake appeals to the Secretary of State if we consider a full EIA is not required.

 

Residential

Planning Potential has a proven track record in offering expertise and advice on residential developments. We can assist throughout the planning process on small infill and urban regeneration schemes, through complex change of use and listed building conversions, to major residential led mixed-use schemes in the greenbelt. We can provide strategic planning advice and prepare representations on emerging policy having a good understanding of housing need, deliverability, and Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessments.
